UIC's Ehrhardt, Oakland's Stroede Tabbed Runners of the WeekPublished by
INDIANAPOLIS – UIC junior Tess Ehrhardt (Geneva, Ill.) and Oakland freshman Bryce Stroede (Horton, Mich.) have been named Horizon League Indoor Track Runners of the Week for the week of February 11-17. Ehrhardt continued her record breaking season at the Chicagoland Championships, breaking a school record for the third straight week. After setting records in the 1000m and the 5000m, Ehrhardt recorded a program best 3000m time of 9:54.74. The 2013 Horizon League Cross Country Female Athlete of the Year placed first out of 49 competitors. Stroede recorded two, top three times in the League this season at the GVSU Big Meet, including a League best 1-mile time of 4:08.70. In the 3000m, Stroede placed fourth with a time of 8:28.02. His 3K time ranks as the third fastest in the League this season and is the best time amongst freshman. UIC takes part in the GVSU Tune-up in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Friday while Oakland has one week off before competing at the Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championship March 1-2 in Youngstown, Ohio.
